Does Getting a Tattoo Hurt?
Yes, of course it hurts, but you would like me to say it does not! The pain is more of an outside irritation to the skin, than an internal pain like a tooth ache. For a successful tattooing it is highly recommended to use a safe, powerful and quick-acting topical anesthetics. When a client is provided with a suitable level of pain reduction, ensuring their comfort, they will be able to remain still and calm, allowing the professional to work quickly and accurately. Adequately anesthetized clients will also be able to tolerate longer sessions, which is especially important for larger tattoos.
Can I bring in my own design?
Yes, you can bring in any design you`d like to use, but it will require time to be converted into a tattoo design. Some styles of artwork do not work well as a tattoo, but with our years of experience, we can guide you with the selection of various types of artwork and styles that will work best for you.
Where is the least painful spot?
Probably the upper arm, yet it is more important to get your tattoo where you want it as opposed to getting it where it might hurt 10 % less. If you never had a tattoo, how would you know the difference ? The most important fact is your tattoo should be fun, and part of the fun is getting it where it will work the best for you. I have never had anyone stop in the middle of a tattoo, (although everyone thinks about stopping), because the pain was unbearable.
What about healing?
A new tattoo takes about three weeks to look as if it was always there, but they heal like any other scratch or scrape, or approximately two weeks.
Are Tattoo`s Permanent?
Yes, tattoos are permanent. But all tattoos will age with time. Sun, improper healing, and poor health, will affect the final results. How well they age depends on the size, and placement. Older tattoos can be redone and recolored. Unwanted tattoos can be covered with a new tattoo (cover up) or removed (laser).
